My Transformation
From Bullied to Built: A Journey of Strength, Confidence, and Purpose
Where did it all start for me? Well, not in a gym or with a love for the barbell, but in the playgrounds and classrooms of primary and secondary school — where I was relentlessly bullied. I was short, skinny, and spotty — three things that made me an easy target. The words and looks stuck with me, cutting deeper than most people realized. I didn’t feel strong, I didn’t feel seen, and I definitely didn’t feel confident.
Back then, I wanted to be a website designer. That was the plan. But life had other ideas.
It was those early struggles that actually sparked the beginning of my training journey. At first, I trained just to change how I looked — to put on size, to fill out a t-shirt, to silence the inner critic that was shaped by years of bullying. But something shifted along the way. With every rep, every drop of sweat, every small gain, I began to build more than just muscle. I was building me — my confidence, my discipline, my resilience.


As my body changed, so did my mindset. Fitness stopped being just a hobby. It became a passion. A purpose. The kind that grabs you and doesn’t let go.
That passion took me in a whole new direction. Over the past 22 years, I’ve worn many hats in the fitness space — from working the gym floor to helping shape sports nutrition brands, to becoming a Personal Trainer. The last 6 years as a PT have been especially rewarding. Helping people transform — not just physically but mentally — is something I never get tired of.
Looking back now, I wouldn’t change a single part of my journey. The pain, the doubt, the detours — they all led me here. And now, my mission is clear: to help as many people as I can. To help them build confidence, a stronger mindset, a body they can be proud of, and a life they feel in control of. Whether it’s performance, aesthetics, or just feeling better in your own skin — if I can do it, so can you.
After two decades in this space, I’d like to think I’ve gathered the experience, the education, and the empathy to help take anyone from point A to point B — wherever their “B” might be. Because fitness isn’t just about looking good — it’s about becoming who you were always meant to be
